At Hui ā-Tau 2021, we want to inspire and invigorate our members to greet the unknown with excitement and confidence, to see possibility, to find and ignite the spark that is the potential within all our tamariki. We invite you to join us in the opportunity to learn from each other, and from our high-calibre pool of speakers who are ready to ignite new thoughts and processes.

Our theme will be explored through three key strands.

 


 

MAHI TAHI | COLLABORATION

For those who are interested in the benefits of collaboration, working together, and partnering. The workshops in this strand will provide examples and ideas around how you can get the best out of #mahitahi.

  • Te Ao Pāpāho
  • Refresh of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa

 

EKE PANUKU | ACHIEVEMENT AND INNOVATION

Looking into the future of teaching and where we are heading. The following questions/ideas will be discussed.

 

      1. In which areas of teaching and learning are we innovating?

      2. What does te reo Māori teaching and learning look like in the future?

      3. Where are our students achieving?

 

Topics covered will include:

  • Te Ao Matihiko
  • Māori language in the future
  • Student success stories

 

AKO PANUKU | TEACHING

The fundamentals of teaching and learning are the foundation for what we do as teachers. Join these workshops to hear of new curriculum related initiatives and new ways of teaching.

 

Topics covered will include:

  • The Ako Panuku Evaluation (ERO)
  • Te Ao Haka
  • Pūrākau as Pedagogy
  • Kia Reka te Ako
