Our professional learning communities provide a platform for members to connect with like-minded educators, engage in meaningful discussions, share valuable insights, and collaborate with a supportive network of professionals dedicated to the success and achievement of Māori students. As a member of a community, you will have access to exclusive resources, courses and workshops, networking opportunities and dedicated pānui.

Ako Panuku has three national communities:

Te Kāhui Kaiako Reo Māori

TE REO MĀORI COMMUNITY

Me rangatira te ako mō te oranga tonutanga o te reo.

Promoting the value and recognition of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga by strengthening teacher practice.

Te Kāhui Kaiako Pūtaiao

PŪTAIAO COMMUNITY

Kia mau tonu ki ngā taonga tuku iho, kia tika ngā mahi pūtaiao.

Helping pūtaiao teachers deliver inspired and quality teaching programmes by strengthening support networks, developing content knowledge and focussing on inquiry-based, child centred learning.

Te Pōkai Kākākura

LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY

Mā te huringa pungao, i heke mai te ira wairua.

All leaders create their own unique flight path. Like migration behaviours of our manu tuākana, leadership development is most successful when it is regular, collective, and collaborative.

Additionally, Ako Panuku regional cluster groups are located throughout Aotearoa, providing opportunities for kaiako to strengthen their networks locally. Whether it’s kanohi-ki-te-kanohi (face-to-face) or online, kaiako are able to come together to share skills, knowledge, ideas, and resources.
